Case-David Brown 1490

Looking for a front axle or a fix to the one we have. It is a 1490 4wd and have had it to two different dealerships and about all we got was a bill. Use it to feed hay and after a few times it would be down again. Was wondering if any one might have cure or would it would be a problem to find a straight axle and put under it-do away with the 4 wd??????

There is someone there from the Netherlands not too long ago who took off a FWD axle and replaced with a straight axle.
I think this also gave him the opportunity to change the final drive gearing for a very quick road tractor.
