Case dx33
Looking for some help/guidance. I purchased this tractor from a dealer who took it in on trade. Was told did a compression test and found at least one cylinder low on compression (around 200 psi) with the highest cylinder reading around 400 psi. They were to busy/did not want to diagnosis it further. They disclosed this to me sold and I agreed to purchase it as is. It can be a bit finicky to start but does eventually start. It runs rough with some blue smoke out the exhaust, but once the cylinders get a little heat in them the other cylinder(s) seem to kick in and the engine runs smooth/the exhaust clears up. I have put around eight hours on it (not continuously) since I purchased it and have noticed no coolant loss nor does the coolant have any air bubbles in the radiator with the engine at operating temperature. The engine oil is typical dark/black with no sign of moisture in it and no condensation on the oil fill cap so I am confident it does not have a bad head gasket. I want to check the valve clearances but there's a bracket that's bolted to the back side of the engine that runs over the top of a valve cover bolt. There is little/no clearance to remove the bolt from the valve cover with said bracket in the way, nor is there room to access the bolts securing the bracket to the engine. I removed all the bolts from the firewall plate hoping that would gain me access to the bracket bolts on the block but no luck. Does anyone have a shop/service manual for this model tractor or provide links to where I can get one?

#1. Remove the fuel tank
#2. Disassemble the instrument cluster
#3. disassemble the steering shaft housing
#4. Remove the bracket

But i do not think the valves are your issue.

Blue Smoke:
#1. Damaged piston rings. Excessive blow by gases of engine by piston rings.
#2. Engine breather valve diaphragm is damaged allowing valve not to close.
#3. Oil mist separator mesh screens allowing oil to enter intake manifold damaged or missing separator mesh screens.

If you know you have low compression on one of the pistons than i would say you have ring issues.
