I bought this tractor used. It started blowing fuses a while back. I found out the second fuse was a 7.5 amp but had a 10amp in it's place. I still blow fuses and yesterday I tried 3 times and they all blow.

My tractor only has 160 hours and I believe it is a 2006
I have no Idea why my fuses blow. I turn the key and nothing click fuse blows.
Can anyone give me ideas. Thanks

The 7.5a fuse you're referring to (2nd from the top) is part of the safety start circuit. The operators manual shows a schematic. It sounds like you have a shorted seat switch or wire to it - mine went bad.... no blown fuse, but wouldn't start. Try a small jumper in place of the switch - if it still blows its probably a nicked wire somewhere...more than likely its the switch.

This fuse will also blow if you have a weak battery.

I just went through this same problem with my DX33 a couple of weeks ago. Search the NH forums for 30 amp relay....or here are a couple of links that I used.

When I was blowing the #2 fuse I ran out of 10 amp fuses so I stuck in a 15 amp fuse....I think that resulted in the ignition switch melting, so a couple of weeks ago I replaced the ignition switch and installed the 30 amp relay. No problems since.

On the rear back side of your injector pump, you should have a fuel cutoff solenoid. Disconnect the wire going to the solenoid, replace the fuse, and turn the key on to see if it blows. The operator safety system causes the fuel solenoid to energize or de-energize as needed. If you have everything normal and turn on the key, the solenoid trys to energize. If it is shorted, as soon as you turn on the key, the fuse will blow.

I'm not sure this is the problem, but it's worth a try. If you have the solenoid disconnected, the tractor will not start, but if the fuse doesn't blow, you'll know the part you need to replace. I believe this solenoid is about $100. It just unscrews easily after you remove the wire from the spade terminal on the rear.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I had a guy take my tractor apart to find the wiring. It turned out that I had 2 shorts and with the sides and top off the tractor would start with a 5 amp fuze. When we put the tractor back together we noticed that the parts were so tight that it squeezed the wiring and relays and it started shorting again. I took it apart again and lenghten a few wires and then only tighten the bolts down loosely but tight. I have not blew fuzes but a couple times. I like to take it apart again and put some type of filler between the sides and top like a cover, a molding just to keep the dirt out and hope it works. Im keeping all the advice you guys gave me. Its my first and last tractor. Have no idea what I'm doing but with a little help from good people as yourselves, it helps me allot.
Thanks
