Case/Farmall 35 Hydro
Hello! I'm not familiar with forums, so I apologize if I make an error in etiquette. I have a question regarding my Case/Farmall 35 Hydro's three point lift. It seems that after 8 years of use, it is lifting a bit higher than it used to. this is causing issues with my mower deck mounting brackets. I have pins to hold the lifting arms up when the mower is removed, so that I can use the three point hitch without damaging my lifting arms. The problems seems to be that the arms are lifting higher than originally set, and it appears that I'm snapping the 1/2" pins. I haven't actually seen this happen, but I'm down two pins... I was going to adjust the linkages to the lifting arms, however, I noticed that the three point lift's arms appear to be lifting a bit high, and knocking into stuff at their highest point. This makes me wonder if my three point lift is lifting too high, or if I need to simply adjust my mower decks mounting brackets. I'm also concerned that the mower decks lifting arm's links are bent, or twisted because they are clunking around when I lift. It seems that I have a mess, and I could use some advise. Thank you!

Would it be possible to post a few pictures? That might help in finding a solution.

Is your tractor a red clone of the NH Boomer series? Those 1/2" pins you talk of...are they the ones that get installed from the side on the rear belly mower brackets? I would only use the pins to lock the MOWER up when I wanted to use the 3pt for tilling. I would never use the pins when the deck was off. The mower brackets should be adjusted so the pins slip in the top hole when the 3pt is all the way up.

......also, on my 33, there were 2 different settings for the pins to slide in. I always installed in the top most holes when the 3pt was all the way up.

Did you change how high the 3pt lift arms can go by changing the lift pin location? If you did that, it changes the mower height. Even changing the adjustable RH 3pt lift arm will change the mower height.
