I am considering purchasing a Case 1835B skid steer With a gas engine that is for sale locally. I am renovating my rental property and it would save a lot of hand digging and transporting dirt, broken up concrete and brick to dispose of. I知 looking at it as having this unit available to me and potentially selling it when I知 finished with the difference in bought/sold being less than if I rented a skid steer from a rental company everytime I needed one. I am new to skid steers but I am pretty comfortable working on cars/trucks/boats etc. The skid steer is being sold by a guy that apparently got it from another guy and was using it to do some work on his property so he doesn稚 know much of it痴 history other than it has worked well for him. When I looked at it, it started right up, idled well, hydraulics seemed to work as they should with the bucket going thru it痴 full range of motions. I can buy it $4900 and I have a dump trailer that I can transport it on so that wouldn稚 be a factor. Anything else I should look at when I go to see it again? From reading I was thinking about jacking up one side to check for in and out play of the wheels and rotational slop from the chains being loose? Any input would be helpful. Thanks
