Case IH D40 temp gauge install

If anyone can reply it would sure be appreciated, how hard is it to install a factory original temp gauge for a D40. This tractor does not come with a gauge, just an idiot light, and I know I have to install the gauge in the instrument cluster, but the kicker is how do you wire it up? Just need a little explanation of this. Thanks to whoever responds.

It's possible the wiring is already in place. You'll likely need a new sending unit that will work with the gauge. I have a shop manual,I'll try to look tomorrow for some info.

Most gauges will include a sending unit with them. ALl you wil really need is a power source that is triggered by the ignition and a good ground.
