I have just recently acquired a 1970 International 434 diesel that has been sat in an open barn for the past 15 years or so. She runs like a dream but I have just started to strip bits off to 'pretty' it up a bit and am unsure of what colours the front grill and expanded mesh behind it should be. I have seen some with the off white grills, some silver and some chromed as for the expanded mesh mine is rust coloured! A couple of photos attached of it in its resting place and as it came out.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Grill should be white. Friend has a 276 that has never been repainted, and it is the same white as used on rest of tractor.

That's kinda where I was going, but wasn't sure. The grill on mine had remnants of silver paint on it which made me wonder. Thanks for that.

Put some new 14-9 28's and 7.50-16's on it, will look sharp when done.

I think I'm gonna go for the tidy and usable look rather than the full blown 'shiny' where I'd be frightened of scratching it! But yes a nice shiny new set of boots would certainly look the part and will come eventually.
