I have a 244 that I've owned for two years. Recently it started pushing oil out the side hole near the top of the transmission. This hole (approx 7/16 dia) is on the right side almost at the top of the case. It's hidden behind the PTO lever when the pto is engaged. It was plugged with a small plastic plug and I'm assuming it is the vent hole for the trans. No other problems I can find. I've filled the trans to the dipstick mark. Could I have put in too much? Is there another vent in the trans that might have become plugged and is now allowing pressure to build?
thanks for any ideas,
Peter
