Oil & Fuel Case New Holland Brake Fluid

My tractor is low on brake fluid. The owners manual specifies Akcela LHM fluid or an ISO 7308 fluid. Is this different than DOT 3 or 4? What can I use if my Case NH dealer is closed?

Wait till they open then stock up. Any DOT brake fluid will cause more problems than you want.

The Akcela LHM is a mineral based fluid. As Rick said, any DOT fluid will create problems. More specifically, it will destroy every seal in the brake system. That amounts to a VERY expensive repair because of the amount of labor involved in the repair. If you haven't done so yet, you can also check the New Holland website's dealer locator to find another dealer in your area.
