Cat 1 and Cat 2 hitch

I have started to put iron in place to build a gin pole/boom for my 3pt tractors ,I want it to work on 2 different tractors is it geometrically possible to make it so I can do that ?

My plan was to spot it together then try it but if some one has done it or tried this then it will save messing up iron and grinding if it isn't possible.

Will the length of the arms prohibit me from being able to hook up the top link pin ?

I planned it to not use a top link but rather hook up like a post hole digger .I can make the top link point adjustable but that will make it weaker and that will be the tractor lifting the heaviest loads .

Your thought would be appreciated and thanks for the guidance.

Typically implements intended to be used for both Cat I and Cat II hitches have the lower arm pins pointed inward for the Cat I and outward for the Cat II. This requires individual members at the hitch point, not the cross member between the hitch pins that most boom poles have. The lower hitch members are typically separated by about 30 inches. I don't see how the arm lengths affect much.

No I hook up a cat 1 splitter and post hole digger all the time to my cat 2 tractor.

You'll just want to use bushings and
may need to make the conection where the boom attaches to the lower links adjustable To different points on the boom. This should help with the differences in arm lengths and top link to lower pin height differences. This accomplishes the same things as changing the lenght of your traditional top link. The post hole digger has several hole locations.
