New here seeking some help. I've had a Deere 4520 for several months, it has a cat 1 3pt hitch. I'd been looking for a Deere MX6 rotary mower, I found one and bought it. When I bought it, it had bushings on the lower (2) 3pt pins. I didn't look that closely at that, thinking they'd be cat 1 pins underneath. I was basing that assumption on the fact that Deere's website lists they mower as a cat 1 that is able to be converted to cat 2, I suppose I kind of had that in the back of my head, but again thought it'd be no big deal. Anyhow, to my surprise I removed the bushings to find cat 2 pins. I did some measuring and found that my tractor will only spread to about 24 or 26 inches and the pins on the mower are around 32 or 34 inches. A little bit of research last night revealed that MX6's shipped up to SN - 11,000 came cat 2 and 11,000 and later were cat 1.

There is some background, so long story short I am looking for some advise on how get these two items paired up. I'm not familiar with iMatch, but is that why it exists; to solve these problems? I believe this to be a 2000 model, someone kept very good care of it. It looks like alot of 2009 models. I guess worst case I could sell it and buy a later model one, but I hate to given its exceptional condition relative to its age especially.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Easier to do than to explain.
Lower pins replace with cat 1 and flip from outside to inside.
You probably can find your lower links at TSC or AgriSupply etc. just take one off and take it with you.

Replacing pins is no big deal for me. I'd considered putting them on inside, but not sure I'd ever seen that done before and I was concerned it would put too much force/shear on the lynch pins since the arms naturally want to "squeeze" inward. But it makes a lot of sense, I'll give it a try. Thanks, just needed some reassurance.

4520 lower lift arms, look at the stabilzers on each side, with pins in and set they won't allow lift arms to squeeze in at all.
