The TNT cylinder that came with my tractor has CAT 2 ends. Since all my implements are CAT 1 I have to use bushings. It seems the bushings were always falling out & rolling into mud puddles or way under the most awkward place. A saw another TBN弾r, I don稚 remember who or I壇 give them credit, list a link to Surplus Center 都pring bushing? Liking the idea of semi permanent bushings I double checked my dimensions and ordered the appropriate spring bushings (BTW they are light & it was cheaper to have them shipped express than their normal shipping).
The bushings are oversized so that when they are installed they are compressed to fit & won稚 fall out. I thought about hammering them in but decided w/my normal luck it壇 slip & flyout only to be lost in the grass or roll under something. So I decided, hey, why not press them in. Not having a press I used a very hi-tech long carriage bolt w/washers on each end. Not more than 5 min later the bushings were in each end of the TNT & have stayed there w/no signs of walking out.
Attached are several photos of the bushings being pressed in.
