- CAT247B Skidsteer / Kubota KH50 Midi Excavator / Waterjet Cutting Machine / 24ft Bandsaw type sawmill / John Deere D170 mower.
CAT 247B Undercarriage bogies and tracks need replacing...
4 pcs Fore and 4 pcs aft aft bogies worn out at the outside perimeter only. Bearings and seals still good. Tracks worn grooves in them due the bogies toast. All original CAT supply.
Cost of parts to replace the 8 bogies and tracks will be approx $6500. Too expensive for me, business has been very bad this last year. But I need the skidsteer for the business because I use it as a forklift to load / offload material from trucks.
I have a waterjet cutting jobshop and I do have a small lathe, been thinking how can I make a set of bogies on the waterjet ? Problem is how do I economically source the material and then machine out the bearing hole.
Has anyone done this ?
Anyone have excess stock of bogie wheels for sale ?
Example Bair Products they want $250 each x 8 = $2000 + 14% tax + 30% Canadian dollar difference + $200 shipping = $3335. Ouch !!!
