Cat 426 wont show oil pressure

Helping a friend with his cat 426 backhoe loader and it wont show oil pressure on the guage, any ideas?

I assume you have already checked the oil level.
Is it a mechanical or electric pressure gauge? If electric, check against a mechanical gauge. Same for mechanical gauge, check against a known good gauge.
