caterpillar 305cr excavator, rebuild, need some help and parts

Iv bee searching high and low for some online parts sources for this machine. Its a 2005. I just picked it up it has 5000 hours on it.
At the very least a paper parts manual and shop manual. I know I need a front upper window.

It needs some cleaning and work. It has an overheating issue but runs good, I think its just dirty, I'm going to start stupid simple.
I have wanted my own excavator forever so now I have one, I'm going to go through the whole machine and make it nice like the wrest of my equipment. Ill post pictures along the way. Also ill be adding a thumb.

The best way to go with cat is to call your local dealer. There are some good aftermarket thumbs. If you don't have suxillary hydraulics on the machine the mechanical thumbs are nice

Machinery Trader has parts suppliers. Most of what I've seen are salvage parts, but there might be a source for new Cat parts. I've never looked, but I have saved quite a bit going with the salvaged stuff.
