The story is the catfish tried to eat the ball and almost died and they saved him by cutting the ball open to get it out of his mouth.

I believe it was 1978 when I was fishing at Lake Whitney in Texas and noticed a fish moving a bit, but on the surface, so I eased the boat over to it and scooped it up with my dip net. It was a largemouth bass that had tried to swallow a sunfish that was too large and it was stuck in his mouth like that. I dislodged the sunfish and put both fish into my live well for awhile and when they both seemed to have recovered, I returned them to the lake. There's no doubt both would have died if I hadn't come along when I did.

I have a friend who saw two catfish doing the same thing, but he had no chance to save either of them.

I saw 2 dogs stuck together when I was a little kid. I could never figure out how they got like that.

Some dogs get cramps in their jaw muscles and they can't let go even if they intended to.
