Hi guys,
I'm looking for some help and answers as to the reason(s) I am shearing off bolts on my 3pt lift stabilizer arms. It may just be operator error
, but I'd like the wisdom of folks more knowledgeable than me.
Background: I've got a NH Boomer 50 that I've been using with a 6 Ag-Meier Rotary Cutter. The bolt isn't shearing when I'm mowing on what little flat, smooth ground I have on my property. I'm sure to make slow wide turns and am operating in lower gear. No issues there. We do have old fields, ruts and rocks. In fairness, I have backed up with it in some tight, uneven spaces.
Is it possible that the brush hog height is set incorrectly and would cause the shearing, or that the rear wheel is hooking on rocks, etc? I don't know if the shearing would be caused by pushing, pulling, traveling thru low spots or side pressure. Or, maybe the Brush hog is too big for the tractor?
I've attached a photo of where the stabilizer arm is bolted to the tractor. Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks,
Scott
