CAV DPA injection pump shaft snapped in half

My International 3414 With the bd154 diesel engine is down. The Cav injection pump has seized internally and snapped the shaft in half. I'm trying to decide weather looking for a used replacement, that may or may not read need rebuilding, or buying components to rebuild my broken pump. Doing some shopping and a used pump appears to be about the same price as a replacment head and rotor parts to repair my failed one. Looking for some feedback or experience to help me make the correct decision ?

Whats your pump # & the H&R #.??
The problem, well, one of the problems isn't the cost.. its the CAUSE..
Has the old H&R been pressed or cut apart to tell u the cause of the seizure.??
I'm sure u don't want to put a new one back on & it happen again..

I have not been able too remove the end of the shaft that was left in head. The vane rotor threaded out. I hammer and punch could not remove the stub.

Well Sir, U broke the cardinal rule.. NEVER scrape the name plate.. the 1st 3 are missing..
IF u hold it under a strong light u might be able to make them out.
I cant make out the #'s on the name plate.. 0830-0839..0530-0539
Is it possible to make out the #'s on the small IH tag on the side cover.??
Don't try to hammer the seized end.. you'll end up hurting yourself.. Just imagine how much force it took to snap that rotor in half.. & your gonna get it out w/ a hammer... I don't think so..
It takes a 20 ton hydro. press & THEN sometimes they don't come out..
