CC 3204 Fixed!!!!!!!

I just disabled that darn Anti-Reverse Mowing feature on my CC 3204. I would like to thank all the people that helped with the information on how to go about doing it. This site is a Treasure Trove of Tractor information.

I would just like to let everyone know that most people suggest that you remove the mower deck first. I will agree that this will make the job easier. But I was able to break off the metal piece that trips the switch with a pry bar and my wife's make-up mirror. (Don't tell but I got grease from one of the spindles on the mirror, I cleaned it off) I am now mowing the way it should be. With less wear and tear on the belts and the PTO switch. Not to mention the fact that I am not pulling my hair out every time I need to back up or make a three point turn.

Good for you...I did the same thing with my 3204 excluding the make-up mirror. If I used her mirror I don't think I would be able to bounce around on my tractor long enough to mow the yard.... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

On my 3204 I barely touched the metal tab and it broke off clean like it was meant to be. Enjoy your machine.

Uh-oh!! now you've dunnit! This will void everyones' warranty w/in a 10 mile radius, you'll have strangers jumping behind your tractor as you back up & attourneys knocking at your door! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Nah.. just funnin' ya. I would have done what ever it takes to disable that stupid feature on my 2544 if it didn't already have a 'disable' button. Good work!

Did the same to my dad's 3204 this morning, he's 82 and needs a little help now and then with some of the "heavy lifting" He would have had a little trouble getting the deck off, but he's a happy camper now.
