Well, I have been using TBN with my new Deere, but finally had to butt into the discussion about brands.

The local K dealer didn't have the time of day for a retail customer not buying $100M of construction equipment. The CC dealer also is a high end dealer for construction stuff and actually told me I would be happier with a dealer who didn't dislike retaile customers.

Finally I went to two D dealers and ended up with an X series. Even though I know I paid more than the CC would have cost, the quality of the equipment more than makes me satisfied.

Dan

Hey Dan,
Nice rig!

It always amazes me when a business doesn't understand how to conduct business, but you see it all the time.

What are the specs on the Deere?

I like the X series as well as Deere - but I missed the reason why it was posted in the Cub forum - did I miss something?

Anyway have lots of fun with it...

Very nice machine! What model is it? Is the front blade hydraulic or manual lift?

I initially wanted to spend less $ and looked at the Cub Cadet and Kubota. In both cases, the local dealers were more interested in their HIGH end construction equipment. The CC dealer specifically told me they don't like to service CC tractors.

LOL regarding the Cub dealers comment, you have to ask why sell it then?

I didnt mean anything by it being posted here....but If I posted my Cub on the Deere forum, I'm not so sure i would be well recieved (just kidding)

Yeah Duc... the Cub guys are easy to get along with! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Off topic, but, I was looking through the photo section and was checking out your action pics plowing snow.. very nice! All you can see under all those clothes is your eyes and snow being thrown! I'm not jealous though... is sure looks cold. I don't have those problems in SE Texas!

A little related to Duc's comments. My local Cub dealer is an old well established IH dealership and has always handled Cubs. I have noted this past season, they have few Cubs any longer and nothing larger than a 3000 series and I'm not sure I even saw one of those. Lots of new IH/Case CUTs being stocked. I'm wondering how much longer they will be stocking Cubs.

My dealer went out of business totally - something must be in the water these day /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I know of three old IH Dealers still in business. One still sells Case-IH and whatever Cub has, one has dropped the Cubs, but still sells Case-IH and Kubota, and the third only sells industrial equipment.
