Does any one know what the fitting is on the check valves CCM uses for the cat 1 TNT cylinders? I know they put in an adaptor to 3/8" NPT but what is the end that goes in the check valve?

I think Kenny is right. Easiest way to tell is to measure the threads per inch. A tpi gauge can be found in almost any tap and die set. BSPP has odd tpi numbers. Check the chart Kenny referenced.

Thanks for the help. I am wanting to put on 1/4" hose and was looking at the fittings on DHH site. I was difficult finding a F 3/8" NPT for 1/4" hose and I don't have a lot of room to be stacking a bunch of adapters.

We can make Banjo fittings on 1/4" hose that fit directly into the valves (BSPP).

Thanks for the offer but I think it will be easier for me to go with some standard hose ends especially if something should happen to the hose in the future. I am curious though about the status of the side link I ordered a couple weeks ago.

The DPOCV itself uses 3/8 BSPP parallel thread.
I will add the last one thousands of a percent to make Kenny's post 100%. I know this for a fact since I have about 10 of Marks DPOCV's on many of my cylinders. You can measure the threads with calipers and see there is no taper in them. The cylinders he sells where the banjo bolt goes into the cylinder port is also 3/8 BSPP (parallel) thread.

Of particular interest, the beauty about this is that you can also use BSP tapered thread and get a seal if using a regular adapter to the DPOCV port. That is, if you don't have a banjo bolt for it like Mark points out. I have done this many times and it works great with no leaks. The parallel and taper threads have the same threads per inch and will also seal when tightened using either Teflon tape or paste. Of course, use the BSPP when you can, but I threw that out there for general information.
Looks to me with your stacking problem Mark has the answer for you with the banjo fitting to 1/4" line.

Even better than using a banjo bolt is this. Weatherhead makes a BSPP X JIC port adapter in both straight and 90 degree. Straight is part # MB5315xxxx and 90 degree is part #MB5515xxxx. Find any Weatherhead distributor and they should be in stock. I frequently use these in place of banjo bolts. Most banjo fittings are either British thread or metric. Weatherhead also makes these in metric X JIC so either way they can get you out of a jam.

Rob gives good advice but personally I would never bother with BSPT (tapered) unless I absolutely had no choice. BSPP is infinitely more popular and with the bonded seal (washer/o-ring combo) they are probably the most reliable and versatile fitting in production.

I just got off the phone with Mark at CCM. They'll make you up the banjo-bolt hose kit for $45, including quick couplers. Save yourself the trouble, and just go with this, as it gives the best clearance.

The other thing you can do, is loosen the fittings on the check valve, and rotate it to the side to get the clearance.

Since I messed up the threads on fittings that were an the valve (tries to use a NPTF female swivel, but the fitting in the valve doesn't have the require beveled), I'm just getting the banjo hoses.
