Century 2028 shuttle shift lever is tight....

Has anyone had any problems with their shuttle shift lever being tight or problems with the Amerequip backhoe bucket welds being crappy and weak?

I"ve got a 3647 model Century, and when it was brand new the shuttle was kind of tight or sticky. However, when I did the 50 hour service, part of that was greasing every zerk I could find. I must have greased something right because it immediately became much easier. You might look around for a hidden zerk somewhere. I remember there were a surprising number of them in hidden, out of the way places.

Take some spary lube (WD-40) or your choice, and spray down the linkage really good. If the tractor hasn't been used for a while some rust will form and make it tight. Spray it then work it back and forth, and hose it down again.
