Just curious and maybe someone has an answer. First the difference in warranty between Century and Branson. Century is 2 years or 1000 hours for the entire tractor while Branson is 3 years 1000 hours for the engine and 2 years 1000 hours for the tractor.

Second, Cummins warrants the "A" engine for 2 years or 2000 hours which is different by 1000 hours for Century and 1 year less but 1000 hours more than Branson.

It just seems odd that for the same tractor and the same engine that there is so much difference in each of the warranties. Anyone have any ideas?

Just an added note, after reading the info on the Cummins site, they actually warrant the engine for the first year with unlimited hours, second year for majority of parts to 2000 hours and a third year for major parst such as the crankshaft for 3000 hours.

Just wonder why this would not apply to the Century and the Branson.

It's actually very simple. The engine in the Century and the Branson is not a Cummins. It is a Kukje. Cummins is not about to warrant a Kukje engine. When Cummins sells it as a Cummins, THEN they warrant it. If a Century or Branson dealer is telling you the engine in their tractors is a Cummins, they are in error. If they tell you that Kukje makes the same engine FOR Cummins, they are correct.
