Cessna 20200-19c Hydraulic Pump - in Reverse?

Hi - i have an odd situation. My Wheel Horse D250 has a front loader and the cessna hydraulic pump mounted so that its spinning in the direction of the motor off of a belt. I want to mount this on the front PTO as was originally designed, but if i do that the pump will spin in reverse direction because it will now be facing the opposite way. So my question is... can i just swap the in/out lines and this should work once its mounted in the front? Or is this pump not designed to run in reverse? Generally, is this an ok thing to do?

I know they make Cessna gear pumps to run clockwise, and other Cessna pumps to run counter clockwise.

So logic tells me that they are probably not reversible, because of the volume of pumps could be reduced.

Years ago, I ordered a pump and it came with the wrong direction. So they reordered the correct pump. If it were reversable, they would have just changed something and made it work correctly.

There are some pumps that can be reversed, but not so sure it is a matter of just turning the shaft in reverse.

Some pumps have a larger intake, and a smaller pressure outlet.

Looking at the pump code , the third letter from the end will indicate pump direction, either L or R.

Theirs a weep hole from the shaft seal to the low pressure "inlet" side of the pump. If you run the pump the opposite way. It will create high pressure in the seal area and blow out the seal. You could change the direction of the pump, but, you have to take the pump apart to do so. 1. It's a good idea to have a new seal kit in hand. 2. It helps to know what you are doing.
