So I can easily find Made in USA chain.

However, finding Chain hooks made in the USA has proven difficult.

Anyone know of a company still manufacturing chain hooks in the USA ?

Also, where is everyone getting their chain from for the best price (made in usa) ??

FYI, Here are some brands of very high quality chain and various connectors:

Pewag
Kuplex
Crosby
Gunnebo

As most of their products are rated for overhead lifting, grades 80, 100, and120, be prepared for sticker shock.

I got some from truckntow.com Look to be pretty good quality, beveled for welding. $4 each.

They have been so helpful, I wish I had added them years ago.

I dont do overhead lifting (at least anything where I get under it to work) so I just bought mine at Harbor Freight (grade 70 and grade 43 x 3/8" link size) I know they are plenty strong as I broke the bracket that holds the drawbar on my 70HP tractor and didnt damage the chain when trying to pull a loaded 12 yard dump truck out of the mud. All 4 tires had dug a deep hole in the ground before it started snapping and lunging. I managed to get it stopped but not before it snapped the drawbar pin bracket attached to the belly of the tractor. I would say it holds more than 5400# rating that DOT puts on it.
But I know it is made in China.

I have the same chain. It works :D

I`m looking to get some Grade 100 or Grade 120 that weighs about 1/2 as much as that HF chain and are just as strong, and was wanting to compliment them with some USA made hooks/etc.

I've found I'll clean up and organize a bit more if I`m not having to lug 40-60lb of chain to do it

It seems Grade 100 is the sweet spot as 120 is almost 2x as much for only a bit more in strength.
