Well I finaly did it I welded the 3/8 hooks to some 3/8 plate. I was a little concerned about using the 110v welder but I think it did a decent job.
Now I just need to get out to the farm and put them on my Dads tractor his TC45
I really like this new welder it is a Miller Maxstar 150s I cannot believe a little welder that weighs 15 pounds can run rods like it does and I can plug it in 220 and go up to 150amps DC. The welds on the hooks were run at 110v set at 95 amps burning a 3/16 7018 3 passes waiting for cool down between passes.
The reason for dual voltage was at home in the barn I have 110 and out at the farms I have 220 and as small as this package and how light it is, lends itself to being extremly portable!
