Anyone know a tire chain supplier? I have Ag tires (6-12 and 7-16) and cannot find any locally.

Looking forward to some good leads.

Cheers!

Hi Eric:
I got my chains from Harvey Cleveland Equipment in Barton, Vermont. Barton is about 15 miles south of the Quebec border down I 91, on the south side of town on Route 16. These are the Norwegian tractor chains, with a diamond shaped pattern and Boron Studs for traction.
His number is 802-525-3686. I think you could call him tell him what you need and he'll have them for you in about 2 weeks. Very heavy weight, they come crated up.

Hi Eric
I think that the price depends on the size and weight of the chains. My tractor is an L4400 with 14.9 X 24 tires. I think the cost was about $700 or perhaps $50. less. I could look up the exact cost. For aggressive chains like these you would not do any better than that price I think. I'll try to put a pic of the chains on my tractor if it works, otherwise I can email pics.
Pete

I also have a set of "double ring" chains that I have put on my 8N tractor for the past 20 years or so. They don't have boron pegs on them but are really pretty good in snow and mud. Not good on glare ice. I have gotten stuck plowing snow on frozen ground, but over the years I've developed a feel for potential problem spots, and it's less of a problem.
These chains are quite a lot lighter in weight and were much less money than the Norse chains--some of the suppliers mentioned in other postings here carry the double ring chains, probably $250 more or less for the 10-28 tires my 8N has (smaller than the Kubota). I don't have any pics of these but could take some and post if necesssary.
