Do you really mean... Its much easier to read while in the 'library' with a catalog?? LOL

I know that is my first thought and preference..

I bought a set of high gauntlet cuff kevlar reinforced chainsaw gloves from lab safety and supply. I also picked up a set of kevlar reinforced forearms protectors. My chaps i got locally at TSC.. husqvarna I believe.

That and a good hat with face shield or goggles and a set of ear plugs and you may look like a storm trooper.. but you have a great chance of coming homne with all parts attached.. and no stitches.

Thanks for the tips...A box from baileys should arrive tomorrow.....I've always worn a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, boots and heavy pants when chainsawing. I'm looking forwrd to having a mesh face shield and more protective chaps additionally.

I have long legs so it took a bit more looking to get chaps in "tall" size-- found some at loghomestore.com (professional type, as I prefer the wrap around the leg feature of those).

Most places sell "average" and Baileys also has "fat" size chaps, but at least from Baileys online store they don't explicitly show anything for "tall and skinny" (leg 40-42).

Finally, Baileys has the (more or less) non-toxic chain saw oil, which I prefer to the cheap toxic petroleum stuff way too many people use. This is the MotionLotion biodegradable product-- Baileys also sells the toxic stuff, just not marked as biodegradable. The biodegradable bar oil is made in Canada, one presumes the toxic stuff must be from China!

Better watch out talking like that.. the people down there in the kubota forum might call you a sissy for pointing out there is a good chainsaw bar oil with fewer environmental implications available.. vs putting in waste crankcase oil from your last oil change...
