change hinge on kubota rops

have a bx 25. would like to change the hinges so this bar will completely fold down with stops, like the b2620. don't understand the reasoning for having a rops only fold halfway down. i don't want to eliminate the safety, but make it convienient and in a position where it will fit in my doorway and will not hang out 4 feet behind the tractor. always forget, and walk into to it. just want a normal folding rops. having a hard time finding the hinge to change it. if anyone can point me in the direction for this part, please let me know. thanks!!

I'll be watching this thread... I also have this issue with my BX24.
I really wish there was an easy way to temporarily get even the bottom sections of the ROPS out of the way for when I'm mowing the lawn. My property is flat as a pancake, so when not using the loader or hoe, I'd sooner the ROPS wasn't there. I've crashed into low hanging limbs and mutilated the plastic knobs on both sides of the ROPS.

I have a BX 24 and I cut 3" off the ROPS and redrilled the holes. Now I leave it up all the time. The only reason I folded it was to get it in the garage, (except for one time).

Just a caution here. If you modify the factory safety equipment and ever want to trade in the tractor it is going to affect what a dealer can give you. They will have to replaced the modified ROPS to factory standards or face potential liability issues.
