SO I just need a reality check here. I just did the 50 hr service that included changing the fuel filters. The front filter up by the engine will not fil completely with fuel.....but the tractor seems to be running fine. Doesn't seem like it should be since it sort of looks like it would be sucking air to me....but I ran it for about 30 minutes around the yard. Is there some trick to bleeding it? Or should I just not even worry about it as long as the tractor is running fine? Just doesn't seem right to me to have air in the filter.

It is normal. Running = All is well.

Eventually, the filter will fill with fuel. Check it again after 10 hours.

I agree -- if the thing runs well don't even bother studying the appearance of the fuel in the filter. I bet you never looked at it all that much BEFORE all this came up, right ? I see you are Calvert Co.... I am in St Mary's County...small world.
