Need to change the hydraulic fluid in my MTD wood splitter.

The manual calls for Dextron 3 auto trans. fluid,
or 10W AW hydraulic fluid.

What is the difference in the 2 fluids/which is better to use?

Napa sells a replacement hydraulic filter for half the price of the MTD.
Anyone know if the NAPA filter is the recommended 10 micron that
MTD calls for?

Don't mix and match fluids keep using whats in there. We are using a Farm P1653A filter on our splitter with no issues.
