in a new JD 2720. The o-ring for the suction screen cover in my manual, and the on-line manual, both call for part number LVU800935

FYI

That number is the wrong one!!

The one it needs is M801034

Here's hoping it doesn't cost you as much as it did me to find that out. I tried using the old one but it started leaking. I had been up and down on the floor long enough --(arthritis) -- so I called my dealer. He is only 3 miles from home. They took it away and brought it back all fixed up. Pushing a pen is a lot easier than turning wrenches but not near as much fun.

Hey Bigtiller, did the dealer tell you how they found the right number? I am planning on crawling under mine this spring and don't really want to run into this if I don't have to.

I think they use JohnDeereParts.com or maybe something like it for dealers. I thought it was odd that both hard and on-line manuals were wrong.

I just looked at jdparts.com and on-line manuals for the 2025R and 2032R. The manuals do not call for the same o-ring as jdparts.com.

So this has been a misprint for a few years, I wonder who needs to be informed to get it fixed.

Thanks Bigtiller. Going to wait for a bit warmer weather before climbing under for this one. Arthritis runs here too. Up and down as few times a possible.

What was the problem finding the correct PN as it's readily available on JDparts.com.

Silly me, I figured the owners manual would be correct. That's the first place I go for information about my tractor.

You would think so.
