I've been asked to install a few lawns on upscale new home construction sites where the property would be bulldozer finish graded. I'm trying to get a handle on what others might charge for labor so I can see if it's something I want to do or not. I want to be fair but want to make a profit. I'm not a newbie in life and have all the equipment needed from graders, seeders, etc and can do a professional job at a high standard. I have done this before but not in a while.
Is there a way to get an idea what others might charge for labor on maybe an hourly or job site cost? Most of what I would do would be around an acre to maybe 2 1/2 acres. Remove the price of seed from the equation because it's such a variable. This would be mostly machine work since there are few rocks here and I know how to bury the few I find. No sod, seed only. Any info would be helpful since I am out of touch on this.
In addition, how about installing customer purchased 8 -12 ft tall B & B trees? I have the ability to install them. Again, any info helpful. Thank you.
