charging light on Massey 148

just wondering if anyone would know how to wire a red charging lamp onto the dash of a Massey Ferguson 148. i dont know how the power is taken to the light and if it goes to the amp clock. the tractor has alternator.

If you have an amp meter (amp clock) then why do you want an idiot light?

You run a wire from the on terminal of the key switch to one terminal of the light bulb in the dash. The light bulbs other terminal gets wired to the terminal on the alternator that turns the alternator on. If the bulb burns out your alternator doesn't work. Since you didn't say what kind of an alternator you have that's about all I can tell you.
