Well I found a better method least for me of adding weight to the front end I started out with railroad iron mounted to a bracket I made for my Yanmar 1500, then I found I still needed another 100 lbs so I went the local salvage/recycler yard and was perpared to get another piece of RR iron but found they had raw lead bars, each weights 50lb, I paid 5 dollars each which was much cheaper than the RR iron. On the front of the tracter it has 4 predrilled holes so I took 4 8in bolts and then drilled holes in the bars and bolted them firmly to the front end, works like a champ. Note be careful in drilling the lead bars, lead has a low melting point so add plenty of motor oil as you are drilling or it will break your drill bit.
