Auctions are really a great way to spend a day outside and save some money on farm equipment to boot. Just about every state has more than one major auction site. What is your favorite and where is it located?

In the summer months I like to frequent Rogers Auctions, located where else but in Rogers, Ohio. It's my personal favorite. I have seen it all sold there and I learned early on to take a trailer when I go as I always seem to drag something home behind me as a result. There are real bargains to be found. Last season I saw complete hay wagons going for a mere 30 bucks each. It also surprised me to see new implements as well. I passed up a deal on a brand new PHD that was fitted to a quick attach. I wasn't interested in it at the time as my previous tractor was not equipped to handle it. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

We will see what the new season brings.

I have no idea why, but Kissimmee, Florida is an auction magnet. 3 large annual auctions. The "Kissimmee" auction, Yoder and Frey and Alex Lyons and Sons.

I got a nice 6 foot box blade at the Alex Lyon auction for $175.

The local FFA puts on one every January. Takes a couple hours to take a short tour. Anything and everything farm related ends up out there. I watch ironplanet the rest of the year. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pine Ridge,
In London, OH, Tri-Green equipment has a 2 auctions every month. On the Weds they have salvage equipment and tractors. On Thurs they have the yard full of every imaginable implement you could dream of. You can buy at a set price anytime of the month, but those 2 days they don't retail anything, you bid. They have equipment and tractors from multiple states every month. Pretty large sale. No website though /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

That's the one I was going to mention too. It is right along I-70, west of Columbus. Very easy to get to.

Here is a link to the Ohio Auction web page. They have listings for all over the country, and even in Canada.
