cheaper bx alternator

i called my local kubota dealer and he told me the upgrade kit was 200 and change. i am going to be running 4 55 watt work lights at low rpm (1500). so i was just wondering if that was the only kit or if there is a good or equal product? thanks

Very good alternator prices and a cross-reference list by part number here
Their model AHAND0211 fits a lot of machines - 45 amps (540 watts). Under $90 delivered.

If you do it and operate the lights rite you don't need that expensive
upgrade kit..........----------

Unless I'm wrong my new BX2350(7-2008) the alt has a 40amp rating on it.
