I installed my Kubota three point hitch this past weekend. It came new when I bought the tractor, a bx25. While putting it together, all seemed well. but after putting a rear blade on it I when to tighten up the check chains. I noticed that the threads on one of them was all mangled, like it had been cross threaded. I could not get it to turn either way. The other one was fine. So I am trying to figure out what one of these should run price wise. The instructions that came with it list the part as K2561-3810-2. I did a search at Messicks, but it did not find it. A google search was not much help either. Probably not worth replacing, but not knowing much about tractors yet, I felt it would be best to be safe.

I'm sure you've tried to clean up the threads? You do want to either get those threads cleaned up and functional, or you'll have to bite the bullet and order/get warranty on the part.

The BX chain keeps is a constant source of irritation to me and others, as I understand. No matter, it must work and work as well as this system can. There is so much lateral pressure that without one's chains tightened, ie, snugged, something is going to end up broken, twisted or mangled. You cannot have implements just flopping or swinging freely around.

I stopped at the place where I bought the tractor, and they had one in stock. Twenty-five bucks later and i am all set :)
