A member over on Welding Web PMed me and ask if I would help him out. He built this frame for a guy here in Seattle, but he missed the measurement by 1-inch. I notched it a 1/2-inch on each end, and Tig welded it together. Took the frame to the Powder Coater. Took the table to the guy in Seattle this morning, come to find out he lives on the second floor:shocked:. We had to pull the frame up with ropes:laughing:.

Owner of the table was telling me, the guy he bought the slab from wanted $2,200.00 for it. He talked him down to $1,500.00 cash.

Boy I guess! It would be a cold day in he!! before I spent $1,500.00 on a slab of wood. Now a welding machine is another story!

Nice table. Is the top slab 2 pieces put together? It looks like it. $1500 is steep, but... not everyone has their own trees just over the hill and a buddy just up the road with a mill able to handle logs that size.

Got any better pictures of the bench?
