Check your fuses to make sure none are blown.

Use and ohm meter to test the heating element. Disconnect the lead going to the glow plug then connect the ohm meter leads to the terminal and to the block or other ground. You should read very little resistance. If you get infinity then the heat element is bad.


If glow plugs are good then test the voltage to the glow plugs. Set the volt meter to 12v. connect the positive lead to the wire you removed from the glow plug and ground the neutral lead from the meter. Turn the key to the preheat position. You should see 12v.
