I find youtube videos to be entertaining but at the same time I wonder why people go to the trouble of videotaping themselves simply for the purpose of other people looking at them, especially if it's not a how to type of video.

That is one question... I can speak just for My side but is fun make this videos... is just nice hobby to Me... nice to share something... maybe same kind thing like Facebook..

I agree with Metsaman! It's a hobby. I make 2 kind of videos, the ones that are more personal that probably is only interesting if you know me and the ones where I do something with stuff to show how good/bad they are. I try to make them the way I would enjoy watching them. For instance, I don't like when loud music makes it impossible to hear the sound of a machine, therefore I don't do that in my videos!
It's also nice when you find people around the world that share your interests and interact with them. like I and MetsaMan do.
