The price is probably similar to the 502. The last I heard they were still working bugs out of the 502ci engine control code; I wonder if they have the same problems with the 572ci. Seems someone lost the software, so they had to dissassemble code from the PROM, and rebuild/rewrite it to fix problems they were having. A friend bought the 502 and put it in a '72 SS Camaro. It sounded healthy, but wouldn't rev up because of the microcode problems. He talked directly to the software engineers, who were rebuilding the software.
They are pretty expensive, but it is a nice package, for just another Chevy motor(Sorry, I like Mopar's). I know the Mopar V10 crate motor, and the Hemi motors are all right up there in price too. It's a shame the Hemi is not offered in a FI configuration; that would be a wicked motor!
