I read the old thread about using these trusses in a pole barn. What I am planning is to use these trusses to build a lean-to roof on one side of my building. I think I have most of it figured out but I'm curious how people have hauled these to the location. I am told that each half truss is about 22' long. My trailer is a standard 16' trailer with 18" sides. Weight is not an issue but I'm not sure how to load them due to length. I'm only getting 2 trusses (4 halves) so I really hate to hire the delivery. Any ideas?

Lap them over the front rail toward the hitch a couple feet, tie well so they don't slide, and let the last 4' hang over with a red flag.

Agree with TnAndy, use back roads if possible and have a car follow so you don't have to worry about cars hitting overhang.

Let it hang like the others said. I haul long stuff all the time with my short box F150(5.5ft bed). Just brought home 2 4x6x16s last weekend. Tailgate down and 10.5 ft hanging out the back. Used some old tires as counter balance weight and some straps to help hold them down and still. Just take the back roads and you’ll be all good
