Just bought 9 acres in Wash. State and need tractor to BH and move dirt with loader and blade. reserved new Jinma 284LE for around 10 grand will be in in about two weeks. Saw this sight and don.t want to make mistake. Local dealer has YM FX24D, 28HP 4x4 with loader for $8750, Shibaura SD2243 4x4 with 'stallion' loader for $8500, and Shibaura SD2040 2 cyl. 4x4 with loader for $8000. What do y'all think. Chinese tractors are far from highly recommended around here.
Quality is lacking
Dealer network is week
Obtaining parts could become a nightmare.

Go to the chinese tractor section of this board and say that!!!!Kinda kidding,,kinda,,,but why not???,,,,I guess the question would be,,,how does a jinma compare with the others you mentioned??,,,don't know,,,,the jinma is new,,right,,don't know about others,,,,,,and a jinma is not a grey model tractor,,nothing grey about it,,,,perfectly legal to sell here brand new,,,,,,parts is NOT a problem,,,thats a lie that never wants to go away,,,,,,as far as quality,,well,,just read this board under any make,,,plenty of problems to go around on all,,,but some cost twice as much as the jinma,,,and still have problems,,,,,,,,,I got about 400 hrs on my 254 jinma now,,,not one single problem other than a couple minor leaks,,so,,,another lie,,,,,,,,,,now having said all that,,,,I don't think any 25 h.p. tractor is suitable for a lot of heavy duty dirt moving,,,they are tractors not backhoes or dozers,,,if you are going to put a hoe on it and front end alot of dirt,,you ought to think bigger than a 25 h.p. tractor,,,thingy

If someone wants a jinma, they should go to the chinese tractor board. (not grey market)

Well evidently I'm calm enough to read the posts,,,,,,,you should reread them,,,,,he was talking about buying a chinese jinma,,,wasn't he???? and the other guy said they was basicly junk,,,,didn't he??????jinmas are chinese and are not grey market,,the other brands he mentioned may or may not be,,don't know,,not familar with them,,,maybe the original poster didn't know the difference,,,don't know,,,just know what I read,,and think I understand it,,unsure of what your trying to say though,,just kidding about the part to go on the chinese section and say what he said,,,,we all know already what many think,,just thought since I read it,,I'd respond,,,,I am very calm,,,,,,,thingy

Sorry if my questions were posted in the wrong place. I am brand new on the concept of buying or owning a tractor. just moved to Wash. State amonth ago to try the 'green acres' thing. I posted the same question on both the chinese and the grey market section to here how chinese tractor boyers and grey market tractor buyers would feel about the comparison between the Jinma and the Shibaura tractors I am looking at. i will try to learn the rules better before posting. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
