Afternoon Guys,
Well this past weekend realizing that spring is on its way, I decided to spend a few bucks and buy new chrome tips for the performance exhaust on my 2000 Dodge Ram. Went down to my local Auto Zone and bought what I needed. I came home and unwrapped one tip and went to install it
uh oh dont fit
I measured my tailpipe before I went down there, and got about 2.437
OK 2 7/16 for all the non-toolmakers out there
Now I know when I was at the store I bought tips that would accomodate up to 2 1/2" pipe, it said so on the package ! Well I get my trusty calipers out again and check the ID of the new tips, low and behold I measure 2.350
How the heck do you get a 2.350 daimeter to go over 2.437 ?
No not a bigger hammer
BTW, Auto Zone was very receptive on the return, no problem sir !
