ive seen some of these dozers around and was wondering how good or bad they were. Not for pro. use but for a home owner who could afford one. i have about 40 acres with my dad and thougt about getting one to make some roads through the hills and more or less just to have it around. theres a dealer resonably close who seems like a decent quy.i was by his place a few day ago and it seemed like he was doing well......I quess im just curious..what people thougt about them. for personal use /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have been very active in many chinese tractor forums, over the last few years, and have not seen many issues being discussed on the dozers. There is a pictorial on my website, from an owner of one (1-2 years old). I have contemplated buying one a few times. It would be nice for some trail and dike work, but mainly for getting a hoe or rotary cutter to hilly places, I don't dare go with tractor.

We just brought in a Farm Pro Track King Dozer. Overall workmanship of the Guilin factory seems a little above the typical tractor plant product Nicer guages, paint, etc. I expect this will further improve with the Yuchai (sp?) factory taking over Guilin, their track hoes are pretty nice.

We have used it a few hours leveling our parking lot (guess its a demo now!). Seems viable. pushed a full blade sized pile of gravel across the yard.

At about 6000 lbs, it is light enough to haul around with a properly equiped 3/4 or maybe even 1/2 ton truck.

The three point lift and two speed PTO open up lots of possibilites, would be real handy for clearing fence lines, or as John S says, dragging a brush cutter around.

Now that really brings to life the saying..." If you can run over it you can cut it."

I imagine with the low gearing.. you can hang quite a decent brush cutter back there ? 6ft maybee.. Put the blade where it pushes everything down, and will catch on stumps.. and that is one mean mowing machine...

Im leary of the Chinese dozer, I have a friend that bought a new one. He has had experience on smaller crawlers like Cletrac and a smaller IHC so I dont think abuse was his problem. He came to me with a popping noise in his final driv. I saw hwere he had been pushing and he was cutting the topsoil bout 1 to 2 inches deep and it started popping. He had problems with the dealers so I took the cover off and inspected the bull gears The bull gear had 2 small chnks off teeth missing. I had a friend with a machine shop test the hardness of the part and magnafluxed it to. it had a few cracks and the temper was different hardnesses in various places. He finally got the right part but it hadto have 1/8 of an inch turnd off the faces of the gear. Later the dealer purchased the machine back as part of the lemon law in MS. Another point that i didnt like that they came with a non standard pitch on the tracks. He couldnt have gotten the local trac shops to fix his when rebuilding time came around if he'd have kept it. My friend has since bought a grey market Komatsu that has held up well. If you want a blade and a 3point andpto id look into a 1010 2010 John Deere dozer or crawler loader. I dont mean to sound like im knocking these machines they may have improved alot since his but im still wary.

YTmag.com I beleive Weirddeere.com has an industrials section to. I have a friend that owns 2 and they are dandy little tractors even for the gas burner models. They have dry clutches im not sure about having a hydraulic reverser. I know that a 350 can have a 3point to. The good thing about this series of machines is they were built on an industrial tractor powerunit meaning the motor transmission and other parts can be found instock.
