I have a 90HP Kubota and want to add a PTO chipper so I can make mulch of the many down trees and small scrub that I want to take down. I would like to be able to chip 6" wood if possible. It's just for me though (not a business) so hopefully it's reasonably affordable.

I came across this one, but know nothing about it. Any recommendations?

If you search for chippers, or Jinma chippers like that one, you'll find a treasure trove of opinions and advice on this site.

I have one. I've spent no more than 8 hours fine tuning the dealer assembly and have more than 60 hours on the machine. For the money I think I got a good deal and it beats the heck out of burning limbs.

I have been doing pretty extensive research on the chipper units and owning a previous 72854 by Bearcat, I am goign to buy another one of their units.

9" units to look at are: 72854, 76854 (orchard grower chipper w/ 16 blades and auto feed) both units offer hydraulic feed. The 76854 has an auto feed sensor as well- beautiful units.

6" 73554 chipper / shredder is an awesome unit - manual feed

Just another Chinese chipper.
You'll probably have a bit of wrench turning to do. I would not rely on the dealer being around too long.

Just so you know, chipping is HARD work.
not as easy as you would hope.

Wallenstein makes some nice (albeit pricey) units

Thanks. Actually, I didn't know, as I've never done chipping. Have some large downed trees, so it's either that or get a portable sawmill I guess.

Or, if it's a one time thing...contract the job out.
