I've done several 6" oaks with it. If I cut it in sections of 8' or so, I can just feed them in. I've done one 20' section and that required that the feed roller be feathered twice while feeding to let the flywheel get back up to full speed. I do notice that if I let the blades get dull, it stuggles with the larger dried hardwoods.
It has a little easier time with green hardwood and I can feed pine trees to it all day.
