I own a mowing business. While that doesn't make me an instant expert on the subject, it does afford me to opportunity to use both the brands you mentioned side by side. I own a 6' and 7' medium duty Woods, a 6' medium duty Bush Hog, a 7' heavy duty Bush Hog, and a 15' Bush Hog batwing.
Both brands produce equipment adaquate for your needs. Since you'll be mowing the same ground in a maintenance mode, odds are you won't be punishing the mowers as you would if mowing in strange surroundings. Either model you suggest is more than up to the test.
Blade tip speed is a touchy subject with some people. It's an accepted fact that blade speed is important in the "finish" of cut. Question is, how fast is "fast enough"? Is that extra 600 FPS really needed? I am currently moving away from Woods to all Bush Hog mowers primarily because of 3 reasons. 1, I've had a bad run of luck with the gearbox's on the 2 Woods mowers. 2, The Bush Hog mowers seem to leave a much cleaner finish cut in side by side use. 3, I've had terrible luck dealing with Woods on warranty issues. That's been a combination of problems on a dealer level as well as with Woods directly. Others have had different experiences with Woods.
Price? I've done better with the dealers in this area who sell Bush Hog.
All in all, given your needs and planned use, you probably would be OK with either brand. Leave the choice up to me and you'll own a Bush Hog cutter.
