Rake Choosing The Size of a Landscape Rake

Certainly go at least 6'.
I find when you get over 6' with a rake or blade, the attachment feels a bit "bulky".

Your tractor is 20 hp and weighs about 2000 pounds, so anything bigger than 6' is likely to feel bulky.

He probably figured that out 8 years ago.

Yeah, and maybe some people are still interested in the same subject, even if it was from 8 years ago.

Most people forget about the 45 degree angled path width. I recommend as wide as you can get. Also buy or make the gauge wheels and mount them behind the rake tines. And use a chain, not a rigid top link when you drag it.

Thanks zzvy…have you gotten much better results with gauge wheels?

And the chain is so that the rake floats, instead of following the tractor's pitch as it drives over the old surface ahead of the rake, correct?
